Survived by: Son, Gale (spouse, Judy) Baughman of Omaha, NE; daughter, Faye (spouse, Richard) Williams of Mesa, AZ; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; other family members and friends

Predeceased by: Parents, John C. and Ida (nee Krueger) Rasmussen; husband, Clarence; son, Lynn; brothers, Lawrence and Marvin; grandson, Steven

Education: Graduated from high school in Tennant, IA

Religious affiliation: Confirmed in the Shelby Lutheran Church, Shelby, IA; she joined the Methodist church in Kirkman, IA in 1951 and was a member there for many years; was an active member of the Methodist women and taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school for 20 years. Later, she enjoyed the Christian fellowship of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Pastor Phil Nielsen while at Elm Crest.

Marriage: William Clarence Baughman; Oct. 11, 1945; San Diego, CA

Employment: Before her marriage, she kept house for her brother, Marvin; after her husband completed his military service, they farmed in Shelby County, IA;

Hobbies/Interests: Member, Shelby County Women's Farm Bureau, serving as chairman during her membership. She was a leader for the Douglas Dixes 4-H Club and County chair for 7 years; in addition, she did extension work and had been a member of the White Ribbon Society since 1946. Hobbies included flowers, gardening and yard work, painting, and sewing; enjoyed traveling with Clarence including going south to Mesa, AZ where they purchased a home in the Venture Out retirement community in 1982. When she was there, Loretta was active in numerous clubs and various activities including square dancing, Sunday worship, bible study, shuffleboard and bocce ball.
