Later, she worked as an office nurse for Dr.’s Emil and Millard Petersen in Cass County. After the doctors retired, Helen was employed by Cass County Memorial Hospital; she retired in 1983.

Hobbies/Interests: Had a passion for nature and animals; was an excellent gardener, seamstress and cook.
