Education: Attended Coon Grove Country School, Lutheran Parochial school, and then graduated from Denison (IA) High School, Class of 1951. She then attended Omaha University and Jennie Edmundson Hospital and graduated in 1954 with an RN degree.

Religious affiliation: Baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Denison, IA; enjoyed participating in choir; also served as a Sunday School teacher, on the Board of Education, the Church Council, and with the Women’s Society.

Employment: Employed at Myrtue Memorial Hospital, Harlan, IA, for the first 12 years of their marriage. Afterwards, she was a school nurse for 25 years with the Irwin Kirkman school system.

Hobbies/Interests: Golfing; fishing; playing cards; spending time with friends; traveling with Keith, and they took each one of their grandchildren on a special trip; she served on the Women’s golf board, and was a member of several card clubs.
