During his service, Milo received 3 Navy Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, the Korean Service Medal with Star, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal (Europe), the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in Nov. 1966 after 21 years of service, and retired with his family to Avoca, IA.
