Employment: After his military service, he worked for the Earl May store for 3+ years; was employed by the U. S. Postal Service from 1962 – 1992, and was the Harlan (IA) Postmaster for the final 8 years.
Hobbies/Interests: After retirement, Don and Jackie became snow birds, spending winters in Las Vegas and Arizona. In 2005, they settled down in Mohave Valley, AZ and stayed there until 2013 when they relocated to Harlan permanently. Loved to travel with his wife; was a passionate gardener
