Education: attended country school in Cuppy’s Grove, Shelby County, IA; she graduated from Harlan High School with the Class of 1945. She then studied nursing at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, NE, under the U. S. Cadet Nurse Corps program.

Religious affiliation: member, Elk Horn Lutheran Church, Elk Horn, IA; she participated in Bible Studies and taught Sunday School for a number of years

Marriage: Roland H. Eskov; Nov. 14, 1948; Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, Shelby County, IA

Employment: After her marriage, Martha began working as one of the first nurses at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, IA. She then spent some years as a nurse at the G. E. Larsen clinic, also in Elk Horn, and retired the same year as Dr. Larsen. Following her retirement, Martha served on the Elk Horn Library board and was a librarian.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, Shelby County Relay for Life Committee; member, Elk Horn Outlook Study Club; she enjoyed traveling, collecting souvenir spoons, and gardening
