Employment: After receiving her education, she moved to Detroit, MI and worked for Encyclopedia Britannica, as well as sang with the Art Janke Band. After her marriage and Edward’s discharge from the military in 1946, the family relocated to Harlan, IA, where Pollyanna became a full-time housewife and mother. In the early 1960’s, she returned to work as a legal secretary for the Bill Lewis Law Office in Harlan, IA. Pollyanna continued to sing and play the piano at church, community chorus, and with many bands her whole life; she played by ear and could play any music having heard it once.

Hobbies/Interests: loved traveling; tole painting; golf; cooking; playing bridge; wrote and self-published a cookbook of family recipes.
