Military service: U. S. Navy, 1951 – 1954; he served in Korea

Marriage: Patricia Jane Clarey; Jan. 3, 1953; Denison, IA

Employment: Before his military service, he worked with his father on the family farm. Following his discharge in 1954, they made their home in Harlan, IA, where Frank was employed at Gamble’s for 1 year before being employed by Farner’s Department Store as a department manager; he continued there until 1989. Frank then worked as a Harlan Community School janitor until his retirement, several years later.

Hobbies/Interests: member, Helmer Reyelt American Legion Post #150 and VFW Post #941, both of Harlan, IA; enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and traveling
