Employment: Liane and her sister would ride the train to work in Munich, Germany, for a few years after leaving school as a young teenager. With the start of World War II, she was called to work at the Dornier Aircraft Company, which manufactured aircraft designs for the military. After WWII and her marriage and move to the United States, she was a housewife and kept the books for their business; she also worked part-time in later years to help Arnold. Liane and Arnold took great pride in their establishment, “Arnolds.”

Hobbies/Interests: avid sports fan of baseball, football, golf, soccer and hockey; loved to travel, including back to her native Germany; knitting; crocheting; cooking
