Funeral services for Agnes L. Buesing, 94, Davenport and formerly of Stockton and Walcott, were held Aug. 3, 1996 at Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Allen Nelson officiating. Pallbearers were Jim, Ken and Randy Buesing, Brian Hermiston, and Kurt and Aaron Spiering. Burial was in the Walcott cemetery.

Mrs. Buesing died Aug. 1 at Grandview Terrance Nursing Home in Davenport.

The daughter of John and Anna Strohbeen Geurink, she was born Dec. 4, 1901 in Blue Grass township. She married Henry Buesing Jan. 15, 1927 in Davenport. He died in 1991.

The couple farmed in rural Walcott and Stockton for many years.

Mrs. Buesing was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America for over 50 years. She loved to play cards and enjoyed working in the garden.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Buesing, Stockton; a sister, Malinda Blank, Bettendorf; 4 grandchildren, Jim Buesing, Stockton; Vicki Spiering, Wauwatosa, Wis.; Ken Buesing, Stockton; and Lynne Hermiston, Durant; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Arles Ann Buesing; and a son, Dallas Buesing in 1992.
