Funeral services for Mary E. Meincke, 72, Davenport, were held April 8, 1996 at the Runge Mortuary in Davenport, with burial in the Davenport Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Meincke died April 4 at her home in Davenport.

The daughter of Wayne W. and Violet F. Hammond Jones, she was born Aug. 13, 1923 in Cotter. She married Harold D. Meincke April 9, 1960 in Wilton.

The couple owned and operated Meincke Plumbing Inc.

Mrs. Meincke was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran church in Davenport and the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah L. Meincke-Bousselot, Davenport; 3 sons, James R. Warren, Stanwood; Craig A. Meincke, Davenport; and Bruce W. Meincke, Princeton; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly (Mrs. Jerry) Allen, Richland; and a brother, Dick Jones, Wapello. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 29, 1995 and 2 brothers.
