Funeral services for Helen E. Ross, 72, Davenport and formerly of Bennett, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995 at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport, with interment in Davenport Memorial Park.

Helen Ross died Dec. 21 at Genesis Medical Center West in Davenport.

The daughter of Fred and Martha Edler Syring, she was born Jan. 19, 1923 in Bennett. She married Robert Lee Ross Nov. 12, 1955 in Bettendorf. He died April 7, 1982.

Helen Ross was a secretary at Oscar Mayer for 31 years.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose No. 106 in Davenport, the AARP, Mercy's Silver Service and the Q.C. Times Plus 60 Club.

Helen Ross was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlepoint, bingo, family and friends.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Dorothy (Mrs. Robert) Grage, Dixon and Shirley Woolison, Davenport; 2 brothers, LaVerne Syring, Orlando, Fla. and Wayne Syring, Clarence; 16 nieces and nephews; and a special nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Dan and B. J. Woolison, Davenport.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
