Funeral services for Mrs. Harry (Luverna) Meincke, 80, were held at Lacock Funeral Home, Durant, Feb. 14 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Gloria Dei Lutheran church, Durant.

Pallbearers were Leo and Dale Hein, Ronnie Ralfs, Max Linville, Freddie Wells and Robert Meincke. Rick Crooks was vocalist and Mabyn Fox, organist.

Mrs. Meincke died at the Good Samaritan home in Davenport Feb. 10.

The daughter of Julius and Theresa Moeller Hine, she was born in Scott county Dec. 27, 1902. She was married to Harry Meincke at Davenport 19, 1929.

A former resident of Davenport, she was a member of the Order of Eagles and the Northwest Liedertafil.

She is survived by her husband, residing in a nursing home in Davenport; a son, Larry, Durant; 2 grandchildren and a brother, Willie Hine, Davenport.
