Funeral services for Mrs. Earle (Marilyn) Sievers, 61, New Liberty, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18 at the Runge chapel, Davenport with burial in Davenport Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m. Aug. 17. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Sievers died Aug. 16 at Mercy hospital, Davenport, following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 10, 1920 to Alvin and Mayme Holt Burmeister at Big Rock. She married Earle Sievers June 9, 1938 in Kahoka, MO. They farmed in the New Liberty area. She was a member of the Scott County Farm Bureau, a former member of the Scott County library board and the Moose auxiliary, Davenport.

She is survived by her husband; 2 daughters, Mrs. Max (Anna Mae) Robinson, St. Paul, MN and Lavonne M. Babbitt, DeWitt; one son, Galen J., Bennett; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. George (Helen) Paustian, Davenport; Mrs. Reme (Verba) Claeys, Bettendorf; Mrs. Lelan (Joan) Pruess, Clarence and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Risley, Lifle, IL; 5 brothers, Leroy Burmeister, Davenport; Virgil B., New Liberty; Dale B., Muscatine; Lyle B., Davenport and Don, Stockton. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one grandson.
