Jennifer Ann Christensen, age 44, of Iowa City, Iowa, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 15, 2022 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. A visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. A luncheon will be hosted by the family prior to the graveside service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Durant Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Durant Community School Education Foundation, PO Box 801, Durant, Iowa 52747, that will allocated for enhancing the education of students with disabilities.

Jennifer was born on December 16, 1977, the daughter of Gregory and Teresa (Petersen) Christensen in Davenport, Iowa. She attended Iowa City Schools. With the gracious assistance of her caretakers, Jennifer was able to travel the world and loved going anywhere with a beach. She also enjoyed water sports, especially spending time in her hot tub. Jennifer treasured the hours she spent with her cat, Onion.

Jennifer will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Teresa (Larry) Keller of Davenport; one sister, Kelly (Mike) Smith of Davenport; two nieces, Abigail and Alexandra Smith; her maternal grandparents, Harold and Elgeva Petersen of Durant; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Greg Christensen; and her paternal grandparents, Arnold and Vivian Christensen.

On behalf of Jennifer and her family they would to thank and recognize all of her personal caregivers from Systems Unlimited in Iowa City, that provided her a wonderful quality of life for the last forty-one years.
