Tyler C. Foster, 60, of Bettendorf, IA passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 1, 2022. His funeral service will be 2:00PM Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the Runge Mortuary Davenport. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Oakdale Memorial Gardens Davenport. Memorial may be made to the Scott County Humane Society in his name. Tyler was born June 28, 1962, Davenport, IA to Mel Jr. and Charlotte Capen Foster. Tyler Attended St Katharine’s School, Bettendorf High School, and Brewster Academy in Wolfboro, New Hampshire, where he played soccer. He was employed by his brother Reed Foster in the homebuilding industry for a time.

As a youth he loved his mini bike, explored the woods and made forts around the home. Later in life, he enjoyed his motorcycle, and travelled often. Tyler was known for his love of his dogs, his geniality, his generosity to friends and strangers alike, his loud and happy laugh, and his exuberance for life which included his epic motor home trip from Davenport to Texas to Key West. While in Key West, he worked as a bouncer and rode his motorcycle up a flight of wooden stairs to get there. Being with and sharing adventures with his many friends was his favorite part of life.

He is survived by his sisters Gaynell Foster, Davenport and Sibyl (Bill) Zegers, Cape Coral, Florida; brother Mel (Brenda) Foster III of Naples, Florida; one niece and three nephews. Tyler was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Reed Capen Foster.
