DAVENPORT-Judith Ann Teeple, of Davenport put on her running shoes and jogged into Heaven on January 11, 2021. Judy will remain in memory as a steadfast, strong and caring woman whose will and determination were unsurpassed.

Graduating in the inaugural class at North Scott High School, Judy went on to earn her MBA. After retiring from the Rock Island Arsenal, she continued to lead an active life. A longtime member and Lifetime Membership Award recipient of the Cornbelt Running Club, Judy co-founded 'Women's 101' to help novice walkers and runners plan and train for races in a safe and secure environment. Judy completed countless races and marathons, placing multiple times in the Bix 7 and earning 2nd place for her age group in the Boston Marathon. Judy was a dedicated athlete, an inspiration to many and an activist for women.

She remained active well into her 70's in the Blackhawk Hiking Club and the Women's Outdoor Club, as well as bicycling and camping. Judy was up for any adventure and always gave 100%. This was evident in the support and unconditional love she gave to her children and grandchildren. Always cheering them on, she will be deeply missed.

Her fellowship at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Quad Cities played a prominent role in her life as well. She was a person who worked to help those less fortunate and believed in accepting everyone without judgment.

She is predeceased by her parents, Ann and Walter Kluever. She is survived by her brothers Allan (Jan) and Norman (Lucy) Kluever; her daughters Kristy (Scott) Mosher and Jill (Matt) Follett; her grandchildren Leigh (Aaron) Stricklin, Sadie Mosher, Sierra Follett, and Nelson Follett.

A life so beautiful deserves a special Celebration of Life, which will be held at a later date to honor her loving memory. As you plan your adventures for 2021, do something that you've never done before in her honor. No excuses.
