Ray M. Atkins, 71, of 135 E. Locust St., Davenport, died Jan. 9 in Mercy hospital at Davenport. Before he retired, Mr. Atkins was with Farmall Works, International Harvester Co.

Born in Goff, Kan., he came to Davenport in 1918. He married the former Madge Henderson in Tipton in 1915.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Elaine, Chicago, Ill., a son, Ray O., Davenport; 3 grandchildren and a brother, Homer, Wichita, Kans.

Funeral services were held Jan. 12, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park.
