Funeral services for Fred William Kelting, 84, of 1211 West Fifth street, Davenport, will be conducted in the Runge chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mr. Kelting died at 11:50 p.m. Monday in Mercy hospital after a lingering illness. His wife preceded him in death last Feb. 5.

Born March 16, 1868 in Germany, he came here at the age of three. He married Mary Hanson in Davenport on *Sept. 6, 1888, and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last year. Mr. Kelting had been employed as a shoe repairman in Davenport for 25 years.

Survivors include a son, William Kelting, Rock Island; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Wellendorf, Davenport; a brother, Hans Kelting, Wheatland, Ia.; 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild. Two daughters, two sons, six brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
