Former Davenport Woman Dies in Home of Sister in Moline

Mrs. Jens A. Christensen, 75, a former resident of Davenport and Council Bluffs, Ia., died at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the home of a sister, Mrs. Henrietta Rasmussen, 2304 Eighteenth avenue, Moline. She had been visiting in the city since September.

The former Alfreda Petersen was born in Denmark in 1875 and moved to Davenport in 1898. She was married to Jens Antoine Christensen in Davenport on May 7, 1902. The couple later moved to Chicago where she was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church.

Surviving in addition to the husband and sister, are a son, Alfred, Council Bluffs; another sister, Mrs. Jens C. Petersen, Davenport, and a grandson, Milton H., Council Bluffs.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Esterdahl chapel with the Rev. A. D. Freden of Faith Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial estate, Moline. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Friday.
