At 3 o'clock Thursday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Anna Strueben at the family residence in Walcott after an illness of several months. She died of old age and complications. Anna Meier was born in Busum, Germany, Nov. 15, 1844. She was married May 10, 1874, to Claus Strueben. In 1881 they came to America and have been residents of Walcott for the past 25 years. Mrs. Strueben is survived by her husband, two sons Claus, Jr., and Hannes, two daughters, Mrs. Norman Leabo and Mrs. Chas. Nielsen all of Walcott, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Strueben was a lovely woman, a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother and her untimely death will be universally and genuinely mourned.
The funeral was held Saturday after noon at 2 o'clock with interment in the Walcott cemetery.
