Marla R. Redmond, 64, of Rock Island, Illinois passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Rock Island.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Long Grove, Iowa, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction, Iowa. Lahey & Dawson Funeral Service is caring for the family at this time.

Marla was born on December 22, 1954 in Anamosa, Iowa to Ernest and Vivian Redmond. She graduated from Midland High School and received several certificates from multiple colleges. She explored several states in her adult life making many friends along the way.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother Vivian, brother Dennis (Andrea) Redmond of Long Grove, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Ernest, her sister Julie and her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Marla’s family in her honor.
