Services for Carl Emil Paulsen, 61, of 935 Holmes St., Bettendorf, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in McGinnis Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. today.

Mr. Paulsen died Tuesday in St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in Moline, he married Ruth M. Christensen in Davenport in March 1922.

He was with the Sieg Co. 40 years, and was a volunteer fireman with the Bettendorf fire department 36 years.

Surviving are his wife and brothers Lawrence, Camanche, Iowa, and Andy, Davenport, Davenport. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
