PAUL GRAFF EARLY — Paul Graff, 58, of Early died at Buena Vista Memorial Hospital. Storm Lake on Saturday. July 19, 1975. Rites are scheduled for 10:30 am. Tuesday at the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City, with burial here in the Early Union Cemetery. There will be military graveside rites.

Paul Larry Graff, age 63, of Des Moines, Iowa and formerly of Early, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa. Graveside services for Mr. Graff will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Early Union Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation.

Larry, as he was known to friends and family, was born June 30, 1944 in Cumberland County, North Carolina, the son of Paul Lavere and Mary Belle (Jones) Graff. The family moved to Iowa and Larry received his education in the Early Community School. He spent his life working as a farm hand. Larry enjoyed fishing and liked to work on cars. Spending time with his friends and family was always his favorite pasttime.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Steve Graff and Peg Ellis of Cherokee, Iowa; sisters Darla Weiland and Chris and husband Kevin Weifenbach, all of Storm Lake; seven nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; five great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; extended family and many friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one great-niece, Kristen Hazen.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Graff, 81, of Spencer, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Rev. William Schreiber will officiate the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer. Mrs. Graff passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Longhouse Residence in Spencer.

Patricia Graff, the daughter of Carl and Madeline (Koewler) Lenz, was born July 25, 1931 in Early, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent on a farm near Early, where she received her education, graduating from Early Consolidated School. Pat met Joseph Graff in 1949 and they were married on July 19, 1954 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sioux Rapids. They lived for a short time in Omaha, Neb., while Joe attended school, and then moved to Spencer, where Pat lived the rest of her life. Pat worked as a telephone operator at Northwestern Bell for 20 years. She later worked at Younkers and the public library. Pat had a strong faith and was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer, where she volunteered and helped make many rosaries. She enjoyed craftwork, crocheting and made numerous dolls, many of which won ribbons at the Clay County Fair. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Lucas Westlund; and a granddaughter, Abby Clingan. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe of Spencer; four daughters: Anne Graff of West Des Moines, Iowa, Cheryl Westlund and her husband, Jeff, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mary Kay Clingan and her husband, Tom, of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Joan Maley and her husband, Walt, of Iowa City, Iowa; nine grandchildren; seven sisters, two brothers, many relatives and friends. Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
