May 19, 1954 - April 17, 2017

Linda J. Weaverling, age 62, of Schaller, Iowa, died on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Linda Jane Rosseter was born on May 19, 1954, in Merrill, Wisconsin, to Galen and Helen (Reinke) Rosseter. Growing up, she attended school in Madison, Wisconsin, where she graduated from high school in 1972. On September 9, 1989, she married Ken Weaverling at The Blue Bird Café in Newell, Iowa. Subsequently, they were blessed with one son, Joshua. Linda worked in receiving at Wal-Mart in Storm Lake for twenty-eight years before she took a leave of absence from work for cancer treatments.

A Moose Lodge member in Storm Lake for ten years, an ABATE District 8 PAC Officer for three years, an ABATE District 19 member for ten years, and an AMVETS member, Linda served as secretary for three years.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed kayaking, camping, singing, and riding motorcycles. She loved going to concerts to hear Ken play with his band. In addition, she enjoyed going to motorcycle rallies with Ken. Above all, however, she treasured spending time with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ken Weaverling, of Schaller, Iowa; her son, Joshua Melver, and his wife, Mistie, of Waterloo, Iowa; her brothers: Galen (Phyllis) Rosseter, of Brooklyn, Wisconsin, and Steve Rosseter (girlfriend, Sharon), of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; her sisters, Debbie Rosseter (fiancé, William Gmoser), of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Valerie Rosseter, of Brooklyn, Wisconsin; as well as extended family members and many friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Galen Rosseter; and two brothers: Barry “Bear” and Brian Rosseter.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Harley's in Schaller from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with the family present. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is overseeing the arrangements.
