Obituary
Harold Eugene Baker, 73, of Keosauqua, Iowa passed away on April 19, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1946 to George W. and Berniece Richmond Baker in Ames, Iowa. He graduated from Grand Valley High School and attended Iowa State University for technical training. Harold married Lois Dillenburg in Delphos, Iowa on August 1, 1971. Together Harold and Lois raised three children, Jamie, Tiffany and Greggory.

Harold grew up on a farm and only left the farm life to serve in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he worked for the Michigan-Wisconsin Pipeline and continued working on the pipeline until he retired in 2000. His retirement was brief as he picked up work as a licensed electrician, a substitute bus driver, a janitor and maintenance/handyman service. Harold was a member of the Keosauqua Lions Club and the Kellerton American Legion. He enjoyed car racing, motorcycles, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; three children, Jamie (Dorian) Hootman of Douds, Iowa, Tiffany (Allen) Cloke of Eldon, Iowa, Greggory (Hannah) Baker of Fairfield, Iowa; four grandchildren, Adaline Cloke, Elianah Cloke, Eichen Cloke, Jade Baker; a sister, Jeanie Coppes; a brother, Henry (Merna) Baker of Mount Ayr, Iowa; two nieces, Chelsea LaVelle of Aurora, Colorado, Haley Baker of Mount Ayr, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Berniece Baker; a brother-in-law, Michael Coppes; and several brothers-in-law on his wife's side of the family.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 4 - 6:00 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, Iowa. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 4 - 6:00 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Burial with military rites will follow the funeral service at Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton, Iowa. Memorial contribution's in Harold's honor may be made to the Keosauqua Lions Club or Van Buren Community School District.
