OBITUARY ~ LOIS MARIE (WYER) HILL
March 27, 1930 ~ January 14, 2018

Lois Marie (Wyer) Hill was born March 27, 1930 at Minot, North Dakota. She passed away January 14, 2018 at Village Shalom Memory Care in Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 87.

On August 17, 1946 she married Benjamin Oliver Hill. He preceded her in death. Also preceding Lois in death were her parents May Esther (Wickman) Gage and Raymond John Wyer, two sisters, Joyce (Wyer) Miller and Donna (Wyer) West, three brothers, Marvin Wyer, Larry Wyer, and Terry Wyer and an infant son, Billy Lee Hill.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Hill Fancolly (Ken) of Leawood, Kansas and her son, Paul Hill of Creston, Iowa, grandsons, Chris (Sheri) Fancolly of Overland Park, Kansas, Travis (Arienne) Fancolly of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Tommy Moad of Mount Ayr, Iowa, Nathan (Jenni) Hill of Lamoni, Iowa, MauricioTrejos of Creston, Iowa, Benjamen Hill of Creston, Iowa, granddaughters Rhonda Boswell of Mount Ayr, Iowa, Beth Fancolly of Leawood, Kansas and Vanessa Hill of Creston, Iowa and eight great grandchildren, Jesse Fancolly, Logan Fancolly, Ian Vold, Chloe Mitchell, Hayden Fancolly, Braxton Hill, Tegan Hill, and Weston Hill, one sister, Linda (Wyer) Mathews of Bethany, Missouri, one brother, Richard (Terri) Wyer of Bethany, Missouri, sister-in-laws Ann Wyer of Parnell, Missouri and Brenda Wyer of Lumberton, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lois worked in dietary for the Mount Ayr Community Schools and the Ringgold County Hospital. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lois also enjoyed wood crafting and quilting.

Lois and Ben will be remembered for their truck gardens and outside holiday decorations. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Redding, Iowa Methodist Church at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 3, followed by graveside services and internment at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Reverend Melvin Ammon will be officiating.
