--Word has been received here of the death at Shepard, O., of Mrs. Anna Woodward Hatch, Thursday, Feb. 7. Mrs. Hatch was born in Windsor Co., Vt. Here she was married, coming to Grinnell in 1868, with her husband G.M. Hatch. Many HERALD readers will remember Mr. Hatch's death July 31, 1882, from the effects of overwork at the time of the cyclone June 17. Soon after his death Mrs. Hatch went to Shepard where she has since lived. Her last visit to Grinnell was in 1887. Here she was always loved, a leader and worker in society, a woman of sterling worth of character.
