FORMER GRINNELLIAN,
MISS ROSE WEIS DIES
TUESDAY IN CALIFORNIA

Miss Rose Weis, former Grinnell resident, died Tuesday at a hospital in Los Angeles, Calif., after an illness of the past several weeks.

Services will be held in California but graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran church north of Malcom with the Rev. F.J. Peters, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church officiating. Smith Funeral Home will be in charge of local arrangements.

Miss Weis was 76 years old and made her home, together with her sister, Mrs. Herbert Armstrong, also formerly of Grinnell, in Los Angeles.

She was the daughter of Fritz and Rosina Lauber Weis and was born in Germany on June 15, 1882. She lived in the Grinnell area for some time before moving to California about 20 yeas ago. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

Miss Weis is survived by her sister, Mrs. Herb (Emelia) Armstrong of Los Angeles, and her brother, Richard Weis of Ames.
