Dwight David Eisenhower Triplett was born on March 23, 1953, at St. Francis Hospital in Grinnell to Roland LaVern Triplett and Arlene Mae Church Triplett. He was raised and educated in Searsboro.

He honorably served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea, Germany, Panama and stateside at Fort Riley, Kansas. He received his General Education Degree while serving in the military.

Following his military service, he began his lifelong career of 35 years working at Manatts as a dispatcher. Dwight's family was his life. Dwight will be remembered for his sense of humor, his work ethic, and his willingness to help others. He enjoyed traveling, watching NASCAR races, going for rides in his 1966 Chevy Chevelle--which he named "Killer" and which he was proud to say was the second Chevelle rolled off the line that year--and the championship of his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Venisa Anderson of Searsboro; son, Jason Anderson of Pella; two daughters, Danielle Triplett of Grinnell and Carla Triplett of Sully; seven grandchildren; mother, Arlene Mae Triplett of Tama, and three sisters, Judy Triplett of Grinnell, Rita Matteson of Tama, and Christina Rhodes of Toledo.

He was preceded in death by his father.
