William "Willie" Carver was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Anniston, Ala., to the union of Elder and Amazonia Carver. He was born the youngest of six children: Gladys Young, Minnie Lee Carver, Clarence Curtis Davis, Willie Mae Bailey Almon and Robert Lee Carver, all who have preceded him in death.

Willie's love for his family knew no bounds and he didn't recognize titles of "in-laws" or "steps." In his 86 years of living he drove trucks for over 60 years, and during his travels, met many interesting people from all over the United States, some of which became personal friends. As his line of work indicates, he loved to travel. He had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. He was well liked and will be truly missed.

On June 10, 1992, he was united in holy matrimony to Teresa Kelley, and from that union were born their children, Benjamin and Suzanne Carver. He also had two sons, Marshall and Richard Carver, from a previous marriage to Minnie Lee Stevenson.

His memory will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Teresa; his daughter, Suzanne Lea Carver; three sons, Marshall Carver, Richard Carver and wife, Diane, and Benjamin K. Carver; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends.
