HAZEL MCCONNELL

Hazel (Mullen) McConnell, 66, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Brooklyn, died Thursday, May 23, at Muscatine Care Center.

A funeral was Saturday, May 25, at Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with the rev. David Rogula officiating. Burial was in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. Casketbearers were Pamela Grimm, Tom Mullen, Jim Baker and Fred Mullen.

Mrs. McConnell was born March 1, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Darrell B. and Bethel (Graham) Mullen. She attended Brooklyn schools, graduating in 1955 from Brooklyn High School. She belonged to First Presbyterian Church while she lived in Brooklyn. She moved to Muscatine in 1981.

Survivors include her mother of Muscatine; three brothers, Louran (& Patty) Mullen, Raymond Mullen and Fredrick (& Karen) Mullen, all of Muscatine; and a sister, Evelyn (& Jim) Baker of Davenport, Iowa.

Her father has died.
