Some Fancy Corn
Jud Gilbert Sends in a Couple of Portly Ears.

Jud Gilbert sends The Herald a couple of handsome, well filled ears of white corn raised on a lot which he is farming on Prairie street above Eighth Avenue. It is a fine patch of corn and the samples submitted are husky, 11 inches long and weighing a pound and a quarter apiece. Anyone who can raise corn like that has good reason to be proud. Jud has quite a lot of corn on vacant lots around Grinnell and all of it is going strong.
