Observe 55th Wedding Anniversary (1944)

The fifty-fifth milestone of marriage was suitably observed by Mr. and Mrs. Neils Jensen Tuesday evening when their children honored themat a surprise gathering.

Mr. and Mrs. Jensen received many beautiful gifts on the occasion. The honored couple was married in Denmark in 1889. They came to America in 1908 and have since lived in this community.

The Jensens have six children: Mrs. Will Piittmann and Jens Jensen of Avoca; Mrs. Chris Nelson of Shelby, Gudmun Jensen with the Seabees in Virginia, Harry Jensen living on a farm near Avoca; and Kenneth Jensen of Oakland.
