In Response To: Frank Miller from Germany (Patricia Shearer)

About Miller, Frank Varce
Marriage certificate to Olga lists Franks occupation as bricklayer. 1915 Iowa census card lists Frank as married, living at 1437 Maple Street, Des Moines, occupation City Rail (Streetcar) Conductor with earnings of $900 in 1914, an 8th grade education and no church affiliation. The 1915 census also shows that his mother-in-law, Samantha White was living at the same home. 1925 Iowa Census erroneously shows middle initial as "D" and daughters name as "One" or "Ane" instead of Ione. Living at 2909 28th Street, Des Moines. Owned the home with no mortgage and valued at $2500. The 1925 census also erroneously lists Getrtrude as the mother of children Ione, Raymond and Richard and the birth place of Frank's father, William as "unknown" although the 1915 census shows corrrectly as Germany. Probably Gertie provided the information in 1925 and may not have known where William came from. They also missspelled Franks mothers name as they have "Lotta" or "Latta" listed instead of Lottie. Burried Lowman Cemetary near Runnells, Polk County, Iowa.
