ILLNESS FATAL TO ATTORNEY

Mr. Peacock Suffered Heart Attack in April.

Kenneth M. Peacock, 30, of 1308 Thirty-fourth st., died at 6:15 p. m. Tuesday at Iowa Methodist hospital. He suffered a heart attack in April and had been in the hospital a week.

Mr. Peacock was an attorney with the firm of Neiman, Leake and Peacock. He was a graduate of Drake university law school, and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Alpha Delta fraternities.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nadine Peacock; his mother, Mrs. Madeline Peacock; two brothers, Don and Ralph; and a sister, Jean.

Mr. Peacock, born in Churdan, Ia., was a member of First Methodist church.

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR KENNETH PEACOCK

Funeral services were held Friday at 2 o’clock at the Dunn Funeral Home in Des Moines for Kenneth Peacock, who passed away Tuesday evening, June 16, in a Des Moines hospital. Mr. Peacock had been ill several months following an attack of the flu. The minister of the First Methodist church in Des Moines officiated. Interment was made in the Masonic cemetery.

Kenneth is the son of Mrs. Madeline Peacock of Des Moines. He was born October 22, 1905 at Churdan, Iowa, and graduated from high school there in 1923. He attended Drake and the University of Minnesota from 1923 to 1930. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon social and Phi Alpha Delta law fraternities. He was admitted to the bar in 1930. He began working in Attorneys’ Nieman and Leake Law offices in 1927, and was made a member of the firm in 1934. October 30, 1931, he was married to Nadine Johnson of Des Moines. Kenneth’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Peacock moved to Spirit Lake in 1924, and during that summer he worked in the post office here.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, and two brothers, Ralph and Donald, and one sister, Jean, his father having preceded him in death.
