Harry Dale Bullington, 74, of 1965 Walker St. died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Bullington was born in Runnells and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired heavy-equipment operator, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Teamsters, International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers and Boline Manfredi Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; a son, Don of Des Moines; a daughter, Candy Napolitano of Babylon, N.Y.; a half-sister, Dorothy Elliott of Huxley; two half-brothers, French Bullington of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tony Bullington of California; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
