Obituary
Gabriela Cantu, age 46, of Story City passed away July 16, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Her wishes were to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.
Gaby was born on March 24, 1976 in Eagle Pass, Texas. She moved to Iowa in 1979 and attended the South Hamilton. She enjoyed playing bingo and cooking for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and one brother. Gaby is survived by her fiancé, Eric Ferhing; mother, Lupe (Craig) Dalbey of Story City; children, Sonya Solares of Story City; Daniel Cantu, Trent Balderas; brother Manuel Balderas of Mexico; sister, Krystal Dalbey of Story City and many nieces and nephews.
