Charles Bullington Rites Set
Services for Charles Bullington, 80, of 420 N.W. Sixty-fifth Lane, who died of cancer Saturday at Iowa Methodist Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Arnold’s Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Bullington, who had been ill two years, was a construction and plant department employe of Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. 39 years, retiring in 1948. Born in Eureka, Ill., he moved 44 years ago from Runnells to Des Moines.
He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers Club and the Polk County Grand Jurors Association, and had been secretary-treasurer of the Saylorville Water Co-Operative.
Surviving are his widow, Sadie; four sons, Charles E. of Bettendorf, Wayne L. and Harold J. of Des Moines, and Keith R. of Spencer; a daughter, Mrs. Jay Mittelstead of Denver, Colo.; five brothers, Ray of Runnells, Clark and Todd of Des Moines, Sidney of Wilton Junction and Ralph of Fort Dodge; two sisters, Mrs. C. H. Nolte of Jefferson and Mrs. Nettie Perrin of Woodward, and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ray Quick, Paul Banning, Carl Andrews, C. C. McVay, Bill Gentry and Clayton Miller.
