James William Dysart, 70, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Carlisle Care Center. Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Westover Funeral Home. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Scotch Ridge Cemetery.

Jimmy was born June 16, 1951, in Des Moines, IA, to James and Betty (Botkin) Dysart.

Jimmy worked in Insurance Sales. He graduated from the University of Iowa and was an avid Hawkeyes fan throughout his life. He enjoyed golfing and running.

Jimmy is survived by his nephew, Andy (Jennifer) Ill; aunt, Joyann Benoit; brother-in-law, Garry Leavell; as well as his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Christy Dysart Leavell.
