Judith "Judy" Steward, 84, of Clive, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, MercyOne Hospital in West Des Moines, Iowa. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Judy was born the cutest baby in Iowa (photo is still at the Iowa State Fair Historical Museum to prove it) on October 15, 1937, in Iowa City, Iowa to Samuel and Adel (Chism) Harris. At a young age she moved to California where she attended school in Redlands, California. She was Homecoming Queen at Redlands High School and graduated with the class of 1955. After school she went to college and later transferred to the University of Indiana where she earned her bachelor's degree. She then moved to Iowa where she began her family. Judy also began her career where she became the first female federal meat inspector. She eventually settled into an office clerk position with a publishing company. Judy also was a successful Avon Lady.
She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha women's fraternity, The Immanuel Lutheran Church of Waukee, and the Waukee Woman's Club.

Judy love to spend time with her family, going to dinner with her friends.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughter Terry Stapes; sons Stephen Steward, and Sam Steward; grandchildren Ashley (Jake) Mann, Dillon Steward, Nicole (Noah) Gunter, and Jade (Donte) Carper; great-grandchildren Delilah, Aria, Liam, Clyde, and Donte Jr. niece Sharie; nephew Butch Lively; and many friends.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, infant son Martin, brother Joe, sisters Pat and Madeline, special nieces Kathy Lively and Laurie, nephew Sean, and special friend Karol Eubanks.
