West Des MoinesBonnie B. King, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Winterset Care Center, North. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery. Bonnie was born on January 9, 1923 at Boone, IA the daughter of Leonard and Stella (Frise) Bengston. She married Maurice King in January of 1943.
Bonnie was a member of the West Des Moines United Methodist Church since 1957 and had been employed at the West Des Moines Public Schools and ITAGroup.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane (Dan) Crone of Adel and Paulette (William) McCarthy of West Des Moines. There are four grandchildren; Christine McCarthy (Aaron Timmerman), Patrick (Vickie) McCarthy, Marnee McCarthy and Ashley (Phil) Shaw. Three great grandchildren, Nile, Megan and Drew. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Susan, sons Steven and David, two sisters Norma Bengston and Jean (Kenneth) Ihle.
