Gary Cockayne was born on March 12, 1953, in Des Moines and passed away at the age of 58, on the evening of December 24, 2011, at the home of his daughter in Camdenton, MO.

Gary is survived by his wife, Carole, his daughter, Katy, his sons, Cory, Mark and Joe, his son-in-law, Travis, his daughter-in-laws, Sheri and Lauren, his eight grandchildren, Colin, Tyler, Alexandra, Jackson, Taylor, Randi, Rylie and Laz, his great-granddaughter, Layla. He also left behind his dogs, Toby, Lucas, Max, Muffy, Marley and Fergie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy, his father, Rex and his brother, Kevin.

Gary loved Des Moines, and loved the lake in Camdenton. He will be very missed as a loved husband, father and "Papa".
