Machelle L. Buckner (Mikie) 66, of Des Moines, departed this life, on December 9, 2011. Mrs. Buckner, worked in the medical field until she relocated to California in 1974. She remained in the medical field and pursued a career as a Esthetician. She was a member of the Ebony Iowa Club and the Paragons Club of Oakland. She was blessed with many long time friends, who were very special to her.

Machelle was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Eugenia, and brother Bryan. She is survived by her three children: Renee Dover and Fawn Graves, both of Hayward, Glenn Graves, Jr. of Phoenix, sister, Patricia Shepherd of Denver, brother, Melvin (Puggy) Key, and sister, Edith Fogarty, both of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
