Simmons Rites In California

Mrs. Bernice Mitchell, 303 E. Hempstead, has received word of the sudden death of a cousin and former Fairfield resident, Robert Simmons, 57, in Lake Elsinor, Calif. His death occurred May 15 with burial in California.

Mr. Simmons died of a heart attack just a year following his wife's death, which was also caused from a heart condition. They had three children and three adopted children. One son preceded them in death.

Robert was born in Omaha, Neb. March 11, 1920 the son of Opal and the Late Floyd Simmons, former Fairfield resident. Following Roberts birth they returned to the Fairfield area to make their home and he graduated from the local high school. His parents left Fairfield about 30 years ago and with the exception of a few years in Des Moines have resided in California.
