Mae E. Garvin, 87, of 3814 51st St. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Desert Cove Nursing Home in Chandler, Ariz. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Mrs. Garvin, a homemaker lived in Des Moines all her life and was a winter resident of Arizona for the past year.

She is survived by two sons, Dean Creger and Dwight Creger, both of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; a daughter, Shirley Jones of Owasso, Okla.; two brothers, Wayne Devine of Des Moines and William Devine of Cuming; two sisters, Louise Monroe and Delores Lambert, both of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
