Goldie P. Johnson-Alexander, 90, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice.

Goldie was born December 9, 1921, in Summerville, Missouri, to William and Estella Steelman. She worked on the assembly line at the Massey-Ferguson plant until her retirement in 1974.

Goldie is survived by her children, Clement Johnson, Denver Johnson, Sharon Walker, and Wanda Jones; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edgar L. Johnson and Loren Alexander; sons, Robert and Michael Johnson; grandchildren, Melissa Jones and Chad Walker; great-grandson, Skyler Johnson; and her siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
