Rita Walter, 84, died September 24, 2012 at Bishop Drumm care center. A memorial service will be held in November.

Rita had a passion for animals and served on the board of the Animal Rescue League. She also loved to sing and was a member of the All Saints choir for many years. Rita worked at Kerry's Sandwich Shop for 23 years. She later worked for and retired from Mercy Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father (Cecilia and Harold) and her brother (Thomas J. Walter).

She is survived by nieces Cecelia Walter (Paula Eschliman) and Debbie Baier (Heinz), two great-nephews [Thomas Sibley and Benjamin Baier (Emily)], sister-in-law Mary Walter, and dear friend Jean Long.
