Charles B. Freeman, 80, of Baxter Springs, KS, died Sept. 20, 2012. Memorial is 10 am, Oct. 12, United Methodist Church, Fairland, OK. He was born June 27, 1932, in Des Moines, Iowa, to the late Carl and Lila Freeman. Charles served in the US Air Force during Korea and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He attended United Methodist Church in Fairland and was a member of Baxter Springs Lion's Club.

He is survived by his sister, Alberta Scalise of IL; his son Michael Welsh of IA; his daughter Michele Miller of CA; his son Todd Freeman of CA; his daughter Jami Benjamin of IA; his daughter Lisa Woosley of KS; his son Brad Freeman of OK; his daughter Melissa Karsten of KS; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and four nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his infant sister Wanda.
