Deborah Mary Rafdal Sanford, 54, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Taylor House Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Iles Funeral Homes - Dunn's Chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Debbie was born the daughter of Elwood and Beulah Rafdal on February 10, 1958 in Des Moines, where she lived all of her life. In 1976, Deborah was united in marriage to Darrell Sanford. She worked for Accent Tag and Label Company and retired in 2009.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Darrell; daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) Johnson of Cumming; grandchildren, Lauren and Abbi; father, Elwood Rafdal of Des Moines; brothers, Doug (Jeanne) Rafdal of West Des Moines and Dave (Marci) Rafdal of Des Moines and sister, Pam (Jack) Wharton of Waukee.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah and a sister, Marla Glanz.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register Sun 16 Sept 2012.
